Akagera National Park, Rwanda, is almost unrecognisable today compared to over 20 years ago when it was on the verge of being lost forever. The game drive in Akagera National Park provides you with the opportunity to view gentle hills blending
beautifully with lowland swamps and water bodies. You will visit the Giraffe area in the south and the lakes road up towards Birengero.
Akagera National park is home to elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras and more than a dozen types of antelopes inhabit the park. The most common ones are the handsome chestnut-coated impalas, the diminutive oribis, the secretive bushbucks, as well as the ungainly tsessebe and the world's largest antelope, the statuesque Cape elands. If lucky, you will be able to spot the elusive leopard, a pride of lions or the white rhinos. Akagera has over 600 species of bird life.
You will exit the park from the North and drive back to Kigali. Arrive and drop off at your city hotel or at Kigali International airport.
